Trumans was established in Darwin in 1948 and has been renowned ever since for its craftsmanship.
We have created Trumans Bespoke so customers can use our fabrics in whatever way they want in their home. People can design their own furniture or they can choose from among our retro designs, including the wonderful Danish style chairs and sofas of the 1950s and 1960s.
We can now manufacture furniture to order to any design so the customer will get exactly what they need. We are fully trained, very committed and very enthusiastic. We will be delighted to help you design furniture that will be timeless.

The Merrepen artists are astonishingly talented designers who capture the stories of their country through their representations of traditional stories and lifestyles. Merrepen Arts is a syndicate of very talented Aboriginal artists who hand-draw the film for screen printing and thus stay closest to the true creation of beautiful textiles. Artwork created this way achieves a feel and texture that can only be achieved by hand, never by digital processes. The overlapping colours, space, movement and life in the art works are so perfectly suited to convey the stories of people and their land.
